At the end of Dragonspawn, the rogue Nebuchar crushes and kills Valdaimon's crow familiar yet at the very beginning of Dragon War his crow is alive, well and spying on Bagsby again. It makes no sense and it's never explained. It really bothered me and I'm not sure how the author could have overlooked this.
